This is a picture of Erik and I when we lived in Tucson. It was taken probably in 1992. I just scanned it in today to post it on my alumni site. I was working at Crabtree & Evelyn and Erik was still active duty Air Force and working as a security guard part time at night. We lived in a tiny apartment at the foot of Mount Lemon. We didn't really like Tucson. It was too much "city" for us. :o)

Erik seems to be sensitive about my last post. He says he can't believe I would tell everyone about it. So I thought I would make up for it by putting a picture of him in uniform with his gun and stuff so everyone can see what a big stud he really is.... *gag* So here is my hero on the plane somewhere over in the desert at some time since the war started.... (Shhh.... don't tell him I said he's just a glorified flight attendant!)
Hi Julie! Erik said he gave you the link for the blog. I hope you don't mind me putting a picture of the book and a link to your site on here! :o)

This is the way I feel!! This is an older picture of Harrison. He was probably about 5 or 6 in this pic. :o) I have been way too busy to blog! With 8th grade graduation and confirmation coming up, I just don't seem to have time for anything! Las t weekend I was finally able to get some of my flowers planted. I still have a long way to go before I am finished with that. Maybe this weekend.... I have gifts to make for K's friends for graduation, so I have been trying to work on that... plus, my mom's mother's day will be late too! I am an awful daughter... but I get it from her! She's always late too!! I'll try to get some blogging done at some point soon!

This is a picture of my cousin Mike. It was taken in 2005. Mike is 4 years older than me, and the oldest of the grandchildren on my mom's side of the family.

No time this week to do anything with the blog. I thought I would post a quick picture of Harrison drinking hot chocolate that I took one of the times Erik was in the desert. I think this is from 2004. Isn't he just a little cutie. Little did I know...... Kayleigh has been sick all week. She has had a cough and a fever off and on since Sunday night. She finally went back to school this morning. I had to attend a meeting for the 8th grade parents for Freshman registration last night. I don't think I am ready for high school! They were talking about drivers ed. Of course K is one of the youngest in her class, so I have a while before I have to stress too much. They told the kids that they would probably be enrolled in drivers ed by the end of next year! But they have to be 15 to get their white slips, and K isn't going to be 15 until that July, so I am not sure what they do about that. Well, off to work. Kayleigh has an ortho appointment today and Scholastic Bowl practice this afternoon.... tomorrow is the school spelling bee. She is feeling better just in time to get back to all that! Have a great day!

I am soooo ready for spring! I am tired of the cold. My hands are dry and cracked... My lips need constant applications of chap stick. Harrison's skin is so dry, he scratches until it bleeds! I am ready for some warmth and humidity! This is a picture of a Gerbera Daisy from my flower bed. They are really pretty. I am ready to plant flowers and enjoy the color around the house. I am tired of white and dry leaf colors!

Happy Friday everyone!

Here is the random photo for today. This is Kayleigh celebrating her 9th birthday. I thought I would post this because next month Harrison will be 9. It's funny how much they change and you really don't notice it! This was a family birthday party with my parents who were visiting from Florida. Harrison got a giggle out of this picture.
Stay warm everyone! It's -3 here this morning. I am trying to convince the kids they need to actually zip their coats and wear their gloves and hats! They just don't get it!!
